TUESDAY

proud to say I continued my roll from the weekend!!! I did 2 more tubing pages last night :) SAWEET!! was lsying out the next set when I realized it was 10. Around here w/me getting up @5:30 or b4, 10=bedtime :(

I CALL IT A SUCCESS!!

I have a list of changes to make for next year! but this year was a success for a FIRST. :)

8 total attendants, 10 paid, should have kept a total of pages scrapped for the weekend.. I do know Saturday's biggie was a 10 count & Sunday's was 13 so there was SOME SERIOUS SCRAPPING GOING ON!!!!

details:
FRIDAY night finished loading what was packed then ran around collecting the last minute donations -bottled water, ice cream & a pizza certificate. then unloaded & Set up @ the community center--Mom, Katie, Gma, Lisa & Ronda either set up orjust dropped off stuff.
SATURDAY up too early for a weekend ;) but hit the ground running!!grabbed some more stuff to scrap w/, ran to Hy-Vee to collect breakfast-to walmart for cocoa mix, foam cups, & string cheese, then met gpa @ the center to unlock doors. Finished setting up, ate breakfast w/Gpa & Katie joined us. was fun! started scrapping. Gma came, then Annie then Lisa then Ronda. we had a RIOT! it my cheeks STILL hurt from laughing! lots of lessons learned & things to alter for next year. we did various things for lunch, won some door prizes, did somepages.. high count was 13 & that was Sunday alone, 10 was the high count on Saturday. I did 8 over the whole weekend :) I finally left shortly after 8, came home showered & crashed.
SUNDAY up a bit later, sorted out some more stuff to scrap (that I didn't end up needing LOL) then up to meet Gpa again. Mom & Katie came then the other girls + Denise. as we were working Tawny stopped in to say she couldn't scrap but she still donated her registration fee. SO SWEET! gave away the rest of the door prizes(I did get some they didn't want) & drew for the big bag munched & scrapped all day. used Subway GC for lunch for the 4 of us that were there. YUM only snapped a few photos over the weekend.. busy.. but not UNCOMFORTABLY so ... the girls started leaving around 2 & 4ish I started packing up. finally made it out & home to unload around 6 LOL ran all over w/Tim looking for a freaking ball for the truck that I found out later that we can buy for $5! gaaaa just flipping buy one!! scrapped during DH & B&S. LOVED THEM BOTH. & slept thru an apparant thunderstorm we had early this morning/over night LOL

I need to get started on those thank yous this evening!!!

I AM SO READY TO SLEEP W/O DREAMING OF SP!!!LOL

it amazed me at how fast the phone calls, emails, & checks came in yesterday when I announced I was closing signups @2 LOL
I closed @ 13 count @2(that included a few that had said they want to but hadn't paid), emailed in my goodiebag total(they ended up making 2 extra), & sure enough some of those maybes called to confirm & One even dropped her check off!!! WHOHOOOOOOOOO SOOOOOO I am thinking next year closing sign ups the WEEK before the event AND making registrations be in by then!!! what do you girls think??? I cannot wait to haul this stuff up there & get it set up! :) I guarantee photos by Monday!!!!

so I guess I don't need to do a weekend plans post for ya eh?? LOL

has now passed .. I cut it off @ 13 .. that's the ones that have paid + the ones that said they will come but haven't gotten back to me on registering officially.

GOOOOOOOOO THURSDAY MORNING!!!

I FREAKING LOVE YOGA!!!!!!!! O-M-G!!!! its FANTABULOUS!!!! Not sure how I lived w/o it! now tokeep my neck in so I am not sore! had the atlas adjusted last night b4 yoga so I am sore from that moving around rather than yoga this week HOORAY!!

I FOUND RAFFLE TICKETS!! also got pink plates & napkins & a table cloth EACH FOR A BUCK @ walmart whohooooo you could say I am 'tickled Pink' hahah j/k had to!!! AND bought it all w/the gift card they donated for the Sunday morning breakfast we no longer need LOL oh well its all working out!

I MISSED LIPSTICK JUNGLE LAST NIGHT :( *sniff* I thought it was going to be on tonight & had Tim DVR Knight Rider (I know GEEK) & Criminal Minds & didn't look far enough in the guide to see LJ listed --hoping to catch it online today @ nap time! :)

This morning, I got 2 more possible sign ups for Sunday! Just have to start collecting the money & I'll be GOOD!!!

OK- I am givign up on the wood floors today LOL (maybe tomorrow w/3 less children)-- laundry is in the dryer--paperwork is my goal for today!!

tonight we have to meet my Signature girl for her donation, then run to Creston for the goodie bags from the scrapbook store:) so excited! I think Tim wants to go check out an animal cam for the hunting ground they are using.

oh well OFF to a good day!!

SO EXCITED!!! got 2 more reservations for Sunday this morning/afternoon! SOOO can't wait to tell Tim 'I told you so' when I get that 20th one!!!

last night I fine tuned my personal page kit pile :) I dug a lil deeper into my stash, narrowed photos by page instead of subject, I plan to work on NYE 07 then campin, boatin 08! I also have a wedding in a box from like ummmmm o4???? that needs finished!!! LOL

today's list includes some not so fun stuff-- sweep the wood floor, finish the laundry, weekly/monthly paperwork, make a to-do list for SCRAP PINK, maybe a list of what to take Friday night & what can wait for Saturday, oh yea & tend to kids HAHAHAH as if they'd let me NOT. :)

I have actually impressed myself w/my productivity w/all of the little ones--more productive w/more kids DOES NOT MAKE SENCE! except that I knw when I have down time I have to go gangbusters to get it done b4 I get set back down again LOL

well, the fire dept made their first practice inthe old house last night.. you should have seen the lollygaggers LOL they did let us know they moved the final burn to the FOLLOWING sunday so I will be able to be there!!! YAY!!

we got a couple more local donations for SP & hung up another flier!! zoom zoom!!! then on that high I put together door prize page kits for an hour using donated paper from a friend + my embellies! I think I did atleast 6.

yoga last night was good! I am sore in my neck & thru my shoulders but that's better than my legs like I was expecting! I came home to clean the kitchen, doing dishes, clean out the fridge, & cut veggies for roast crockpot today. then watched a Days that was still on the DVR & started a second one.

we r up to 5 possible participants for SP!!!! (no registrations back in yet) only need 15 more to pay the rent LOL

HUMP DAY=YOGA!!

for teh next 10 weeks anyway ROCK ON!!!!!!! WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!

so last night was a bust as far as plans but ROCKED as far as productivity goes!!
we tore apart & drug out the furnace, ductwork & water heater (still 1/2 full of water!) from the old house basement, I moved the gutter pile to the ductwork pile for the scrap yard to pick up (Corey) & started moving a pile of firewood away from the house to save for next summer, on the way home confirmed the CM rep for the SP, came home, showered & read myself to sleep. (almost done) oh yeah & I did wash some dishes.

MIL's dr appt was late so visiting tonight instead. (b4 yoga)

cabinet is sufficiently pink :) now to get it inside.

today I have the same phonecalls to make that I procrastinated yesterday.

tomorrow night will be more scavenging @ the old house I think-2 ceiling fans, plant hook outside, park bench, wishing well, plant cabinet, movie cabinet....ugh...

Tuesday tireds

whhhooof needing some help to get going this morning. I don't think its knowing everyone will be back in force today or if I just read to late last night.. but I am ready to finish that book!! lol Last night I did nothing productive in my room --or house for that matter--sad I know. we ate supper, I walked w/mom, Tim & I ran to walmart (for more spray paint), went to his mom's to get our shampooer, came home & I carried all SUPER COOL donations I received yesterday to my scrap room, then fizzled. I tried to find something in TV nadda, no one was online, I didn't have the room to spread the stuff out like I wanted to create page kits, so I put it all back away, showered & read myself to sleep.

today I hope to get a 2nd coat of spray paint on the cabinet & maybe a third even. I have to make some SP phone calls & some non-SP phone calls.

tonight some work in my room to get more work space (until I get the cabinet moved in for permanent clearing of my desk), visiting MIL (she has an appt in DM today for her 'check up' altho they already found more infection :( so she has 2 more weeks of antibiotics *sigh* poor girl), & serious dish washing --my kitchen is TRASHED. :(

HAPPY MONDAY...

WELL... ITS A GOOD START TO A GREAT WEEK!! I am an infant short this morning w/the other coming after lunch, & 2 kids short all day while a toddler is coming later this morning also. WHOHOOOOO hoping for some spray paint time in the back yard so I can get my metal cabinet in my scrap room & finish the move!!

weekend in whole:
pretty balanced... Friday night ended up GREAT!! Tim brought home LJS for supper (that we ate all weekend!) & I took a bath for 3.5 hours & read my book!

Saturday we were up earlier than I wanted but I had to get my stuff done so got my eyebrows waxed, then walked around collecting- only got one donation ( a $30 jar of one minute manicure) & hung 3 more fliers & have a list of places to call today. then home to change & hit the old house, helped Tim finish popping the tiles off the kitchen +back porch floors, found the shelf I wanted WASN'T attached so vowed to get it, & called it quits for the day. Grocery shopped, did ods & ends @walmart & home to chill, he watched some TV & I read. then we did 5 geo-caches & came home for leftovers for supper. later Katie, TOmmy & Nat showed up for a while to hang out.

Sunday again up earlier than I had wanted but woke to pancakes+bacon+ clean dishes in teh drainrack! whohooooo GO TIm! so we ate, then emptied the truck bed (fence to the scrap yard, wood @ old house) then backed it up the old front door & FILLED IT again.. linoleum, tile, boxes, then moved into the garage & started flinging from there. SO its loaded & Tarped for next weekend's landfil run. walked home for some scrap moving time :D he built up the scavenged shelf to match the height of the crate I had & we built my desk-its a bit higher than I had planned but NOT arguing LOL its DONE! THEN he fixed the existing shelves on teh wall to quit falling, hung a new one & helped move my roll top into there. lots of swapping around of stuffs, took back the 13" tv & gave him the 19 for the garage b/c I didn't have room for it, moved the weight stuff into the old scrap room, etc. I finally quit working on it last night @bedtime. still more to do of course.

finished painting the white walls last night YAHOOOOOOO Mom loves me & volunteered to paint my ceiling for me this weekend after seeing the serious yellowness of it. Tim & I even took a walk in the middle ofmy painting!

my weekend plans are totally weather dependant!
tonight either helping mom paint my ceiling or helping Tim start to sort/clean out old house garage.
tomorrow up & hitting the local businesses again to finalize/collect some door prizes for SP, then home to either help do fence or back to the garage then start moving rooms
Sunday finishing whatever project was started on Saturday & hopefully finish moving or helping Tim build my new desk.

I really wanted to go to bike night tonight (mainly for the food) but it rained so much this morning I imagine it will be a swampy mess & I don't think I am in the mood for fighting that!

last night - after shampooing MIL's basement carpet (that THANKFULLY) turned out to be MUCH MUCH MUCH less than I had dreaded.. sure it was green & yellow & fuzzy but atleast it seems salvageable w/the shampooer!!! NOTE TO ALL: when leaving your basement for an extended period of time-have the carpet cleaned!!!! the fuzzy spots were HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS! & under the couch-GROSS...makes me never want to eat in our living room again! so after an hour of cleaning we were headed home :) this might surprise some of u but I PAINTED!! top coat on light wall... way pretty :) lighter than the first cost but lovin' it! then painted ALL outlet covers same light pink...then decided to tear into a no thinker wall... WHITE ... love the definate diff between the dark + white! can't wait to attack it again tonight!!

I am so proud of me!!

Last night I had to run Tim around delivering a truck & getting a different one & in the middle we stopped @ walmart for cat food + to get my white paint shaken. as soon as we got home & He started grilling, I went straight to my room & did all of the touch up painting on teh dark wall! THEN as sooon as we were done eating (yup skipped kitchen clean up last night) I went right back in & started mixing paint for a lighter shade.. after 3 test slops I found one I loved. its almost a light purple not quiete lavendar as I found the paint chip (I Think) @ walmart last night & believe it to be Rum Raisin. painted a whole big wall + some jar lids+a mini muffin tin+ outlet cover for the dark wall all in the light paint. also took down the curtain/rod +folded up the bowflex PROGRESS ROCKS!!!

Tonight I plan to do the 2nd coat on everything light & decide if I need 2 or if one white wall will be enough & start painting another wall. lots of GO power for tonight!!

we are excited w/my progress & think we might be able to do teh room swap Friday evening then take off & on all weekend + next week evenings to unpack!! WHOHOOO

ahhhhhhhh & my completed scrap wall.. note its a small one.. the ceiling is actually white tho it looks almond, the other 3 walls are BLUE that you see in the top corner. so it took 2 coats & I found some spots being in there in the daylight just now that need touched up.

*can't find a form on site 3of3 LOL

got a bit of a bummer call last night-- the fire dept has our house on their schedule to burn THAT SATURDAY :( sniff I will have to leave the crop for a while & come watch a bit totally wish I could be here for the whole thing but such is life.. maybe their schedule will change!! :)

2 under 1, 2 under 2, 2 2's, a 3 & a 4 @ morning preschool, a 4& a5 @ afternoon preschool PLUS 4 school kids b4 &/or after school!! I am definately earning my quiet time tonight LOL

I did get the rest of the small wall painted that dark color last night YAY, also kitchen cleaned DOUBLE YAY, and managed to get to bed b4 10 :) saweet!

tonight I am planning to get brave & mix some white w/some dark paint & see if I can get enough for a big wall OR maybe I'll play it safe & just paint a big wall white LOL we'll see how much nerve I have left after today :)

wow I had forgotten how much I love 4 day weeks.. LOOOOOVE LOOOOOOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THEM!!! whohoooooo

unscheduled but busy-getting donations, pulling chainlink+replacing w/privacy (2 day event), shampooing child care +upstairs living/dining room carpets, painting more in my new scrap room, & maybe some rest in there somewhere!

last night we:
*ate roast from the crockpot + mashed potatoes & gravy Tim had made by the time I was off work.
*visited MIL -MUCH BETTER SPIRITS light @ the end of the tunnel helps I'm sure-she's still on antibiotics, the 16th(?) she goes to DM for a check & back then she'll be in the hospital 6-8 weeks w/o antibiotics doing therapy (she's hoping they don't send her home) then they'll put a new hip in & keep her for therapy for that.
*shopped walmart. groceries, hangers (LOL switching to 2 colors only), 'ballet slipper pink' spray paint for my metal cabinet for my scrap room (thats now sitting outside), forgot a few things I will have to run after this weekend.
*buzzed home to unload then walk w/mom-30 minute speed walk GOOD WORK OUT.
* home to finish taping off the wall I am painting first (going to stick w/the dark color for this wall, maybe lighten it for the next, then go white or something equally bright for the other 2)
*read myself to sleep again. love it.

Thursday? really?

could have fooled me! I feel pretty darn good considering (must be the short work week)

last night I:
*washed the blankets off the couches -Gus got in the litter box & got sick
*paid my yoga registration YEHAW!
*walked w/Mom
*brainstormed w/Mom & came up w/a list of where to ask for donations
*cleaned up from supper
*painted some on the small wall (between the doorways) in my new scrap room--haven't seen it in daylight yet but thinking its still too dark so may run to Walmart for some white paint to mix in it tonight & do that in the 2nd coat
*read myself to sleep :)

Today I plan to:
*make those donation phone calls
*form a cc newsletter
*form the flier for the crop
*PAINT w/the kids
*call newspaper for ad pricing

if I had the seats in the van I would take the 3 I'll have during this morning's preschool & hit walmart for some Sam's Club type shopping! oh well. what will be will be.

weekend recap: FABULOUS! great time w/friends+family, lake+camping, food+booze, GREAT WEEKEND!

yesterday we headed home earlier than normal. way wierd but welcome! due to the massive amounts of Iowa flooding this year our lake (Rathbun) is still 19 feet HIGH --YIKES! so our normal campground is only 1/2 open therefore was FULL ON MONDAY but our WONDERFUL camp attendants didn't bat an eye at making a spot for us + our crew --LOVE THEM!!!!! crew in total was a BLAST!!! us all weekend, Jeff+Bethany Friday night-Sunday afternoon, Hupp+Lauren Friday night-Sunday evening, Nick Saturday morning until Sunday evening, Justin+Misty+Tony Saturday morning until Monday morning when we left. absolute fun! all weekend NO DRAMA :) gotta love that.

checked out The Landing (a bar/grill/steakhouse) Sunday night w/Justin, Misty & Tony. LOVED IT. great atmosphere for a boating/camping environment! so fun. WILL be repeat customers. (as long as its cool enough for Gus to sit in the truck)

I had to cruise across the lake by myself in the boat while Tim drove the truck around to the ramp (long story short=nearest ramp to our campground was a ways away so we launched Saturday morning the just beached it near our campground over nights to load only once & that being on Sunday--saved a TON OF GAS in the truck!!!) to load to come home that was a HUGE first for me. me the non swimmer. me the likes to tool along rather than fly across the water. GO ME. lol Justin was great & kept me in his sights while they drove their boat so in essence I wasn't alone but yet I was.

I got the call this afternoon that I am in charge of the SCRAP PINK event in a month!!! major planning mode!!
